>> Jul 15, 2009

Pangandaran beach is the most famous beach in Pangandaran west java. Closed by pananjung conservation, but have to by boat to find here. Make a deal with boat owner to this place, pay around IDR 250.000 for 8 passengers, 1 crew boat and 1 local guide, he will introduce object when we pass by like ‘batu mandi’ (bath rock), ‘batu Malin Kundang’ (Malin Kundang rock), water fall, ‘karang bolong’ (coral holes) etc.

Arrived at Pananjung conservation Meet Dutchman tourist who say hello use Bahasa Indonesia “selamat sore apa kabar?’ good evening… how are you’ they must be stay here for long time. Enter Parat gave have to use flash light because its dark and we can rent it with pay IDR 5,000,00. There are stalagmite and stalactite formed human sexual and chicken thigh even porcupine in the floor of the cave. Out of this cave we enter panggung cave (Hall cave), called it because it is like hall. There is prototype of Syek jaga laut grave (keeper of the sea) according the legend he is the delegate of Nyi Roro kidul (Queen of south ocean from the genie world). Hmmm sound is so interesting, old Javanese legend and so popular in Indonesia. Another cave is Japan cave because Japan had ever colonized Indonesia for 3 year till USA boomed Nagasaki & Hiroshima in 1945. Lawa cave (bat cave) is location for horror movie shooting like as Mak Lampir (witches lady). It is prefect because the place looks terrible. After in and out of the cave we find pasir putih beach (white sand beach) while waiting the boat we can see how beautiful sun set here. We have to quit this island because according the guide tour the wild animal will come in the night so we have back to Pangandaran beach.
From Pangandaran beach to bus terminal by becak (Indonesia traditional transportation which use bicycle) around 20 minutes arrive to terminal only pay IDR 10,000,00 for two passengers. Many buses to Jakarta and we take around 8 hours arrive to Jakarta.
